{random poetry #48}

[ Roll the Dice ]

if you’re going to try, go all the
way.
otherwise, don’t even start.

if you’re going to try, go all the
way.
this could mean losing girlfriends,
wives, relatives, jobs and
maybe your mind.

go all the way.
it could mean not eating for 3 or 4 days.
it could mean freezing on a
park bench.
it could mean jail,
it could mean derision,
mockery,
isolation.
isolation is the gift,
all the others are a test of your
endurance, of
how much you really want to
do it.
and you’ll do it
despite rejection and the worst odds
and it will be better than
anything else
you can imagine.

if you’re going to try,
go all the way.
there is no other feeling like
that.
you will be alone with the gods
and the nights will flame with
fire.

do it, do it, do it.
do it.

all the way
all the way.

you will ride life straight to
perfect laughter, its
the only good fight
there is.

for other waters are ever flowing on to you.

it's more or less like this, but without the bees:

“I don’t want the navigation or links on my website to be static. I want them to move around randomly like bees all over the site so my site’s visitors have to catch them if they really want to click on to the next page. It would be really cool if they could also randomly disappear and reappear in other parts of the page, too.”

Dance like nobody's watching;
love like you've never been hurt.
Sing like nobody's listening;
live like it's heaven on earth.

"We’d have to accept ourself, our warts and all, and that we don’t get to choose our warts.
They are a part of us and we have to live with them.
We can, however, choose our friends.
A true friendship is seen through the heart, not through the eyes."

"The reason I forgive you is because you are not perfect.
You are imperfect, and so am I.
All humans are imperfect."

 Mary and Max, Adam Elliot, 2009
